Farrington Memorial is a rural learning and recreation center dedicated to the well being of inner city children. Our outdoor educational programs help children develop an awareness and connection to their environment and the natural world. In our society today, developing environmental literacy in urban youth is a major task. A visit to Farrington gives kids the opportunity to reconnect to the natural world, and inspires a sense of responsibility towards the environment. The Farrington Education Center includes 78 acres of woodlands with classroom, barn, hiking trails and a pond, providing children with opportunities to view many species of plants, birds, and a variety of animals.
