DESCRIPTION The Huntington Theatre Company, now in its 22nd season, is Boston’s leading professional theatre. Established in 1982 as a professional theatre in residence at Boston University, the Huntington offers a six-play season for an annual audience of more than 175,000, including 16,500 subscribers. IMPACT The Huntington provides professional training and experience to students in the Boston University School of Theatre Arts. During the past two decades, the Huntington’s nationally recognized education programs have served more than 200,000 middle school and high school students, and their community outreach programs bring theatre to the deaf and blind communities, the elderly, and other underserved populations in the Greater Boston area.
