As another year comes to a close, we’d like to thank you for helping us make an impact in 2022. It has been an inspiring year of service, partnership, and community at Boston Cares, and we couldn’t do it without your commitment to building a better Boston together.

As we emerge from the pandemic this year, we’ve continued to adapt to community needs, engage new volunteers, and provide vital support and capacity to our partners addressing needs across our community – from helping to ensure our food-insecure neighbors have access to healthy meals to supporting new immigrants in strengthening their English skills, and engaging youth in educational enrichment programs. In reflecting on this year, I am grateful not just for the impact we’ve made together, but for those who helped us pack 100,000 meals for 9/11 Day, engaged in virtual service for MLK Day, joined us in celebration of Global Volunteer Month in April, and embraced new opportunities to learn about our community.

This year we renewed our commitment to our community through an updated strategic plan that centers our partners and frames our work around a vision for a more equitable and engaged Boston. As we embark on this work, we’ll focus on strengthening and expanding our community partnerships, mobilizing more diverse volunteers, attracting new stakeholders, strengthening our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice, and building the internal capacity to achieve these goals.

As we look toward 2023, Boston Cares will continue to thrive and respond to the growing needs of our community and collaboratively address our community’s critical needs through strong partnerships, a growing corps of volunteers, and supporters like you.

Will you consider supporting Boston Cares with a donation this year? Your donation to Boston Cares helps support over 100 community partners and public schools - organizations that rely on us to help address food insecurity and homelessness, close the economic and educational opportunity gaps, and build a stronger, more vibrant community for all.

Thank you for supporting Boston Cares. We wish you all the best for a happy and healthy holiday season and look forward to continuing this important work with you in 2023.
