TeamWorks at Urban wilds
The Boston Cares TeamWorks Program provides volunteers with opportunities to make short-term commitments to nonprofit partners, while building relationships with a small team of fellow volunteers. Each TeamWorks cycle is built around the needs of a nonprofit partner, with a series of 4-8 projects over a 6-8 week time period. Volunteers commit to the series, giving the partner a consistent group of volunteers who get to know their organization and clients over the course of the program.
Get your hands working this fall with the Urban Wilds TeamWorks Team! Projects involve working in gardens, parks, and wooded areas for organizations that are commited to cleaning up public spaces for a cleaner, greener city.
***Please be mindful when committing to this team that these organizations depend on a specific volunteer group size in order to provide their services. Attendance at all projects is expected***

URBAN WILDS INITIATIVE
The Urban Wilds Initiative is a volunteer based program that is staffed by a program consultant and has no operating budget. In addition to acquiring/protecting and maintaining /managing natural areas in Boston, the program seeks to conduct community outreach and education to promote stewardship around these ecologically important sites.
The Urban Wilds Initiative protects, maintains, and restores publicly-owned urban wilds in order to ensure the access to and enjoyment of these natural treasures for present and future Boston residents.
