Collect & Sort Donations at Catie's Closet - Dracut

On Wednesdays and Thursdays (in BOSTON) Volunteers will sort and prepare clothing and basic necessity donations for distribution into Catie's in-school closets. This includes separating donations by classification and hanging, folding or sorting as needed.

Please note: On Wednesdays and Thursdays Catie's Closet is located in an office/business park. Parking available in front of the building and in adjacent lot. T accessible via Readville Commuter Rail (Fairmount, Franklin Lines) 6 minute walk.

On Saturdays (in DRACUT) Volunteers will assist at the Dracut Distribution Center accepting donations and sorting, hanging and folding clothing that is then distributed to school partners. From these school Closets, students in need are able to select the clothes they like as well as need in a safe, welcoming, and discreet space. 

Please note: On Saturdays this project is in Dracut, MA and is not T-accessible.

Volunteers can expect an upbeat team environment. Ability to read garment tags needed. The project pace is moderate and volunteers should come wearing comfortable clothes and shoes and be prepared to stand for long periods.

About Catie's Closet:
Catie's Closet provides an in-school resource for students who are homeless or living in poverty. Access to clothing and basic necessities are important in order to feel valued and build self-esteem and allows our students to better focus on their education. 

This project is open to Boston Cares members who have completed an orientation.
