Mobile Pantry Distribution with the Greater Boston Food Bank in Lawrence

Due to the COVID-19 public health crisis, there has been an increase in individuals and families visiting the mobile market and a higher than normal need for volunteers to support. This volunteer opportunity is open to the community and any individual with a Boston Cares account and who follows our safety requirements may sign up. Having attended a Boston Cares orientation is not required. Please e-mail volunteers@bostoncares.org if you have questions.
Help suppoort one of Greater Boston Food Bank's Mobile Markets! Mobile Markets enable GBFB to deliver high-quality, perishable food directly to partner sites in order to reach isolated communities and populations at high-risk of hunger. This food is brought in on our refrigerated trucks and set up on tables in the style of a farmer's market. Clients 'shop' at each table, choosing from a diverse selection of fresh produce, dairy products, and high-protein items.

Please note: this is a physical project that requires some lifting and moving around. Volunteers are required to wear close-toed shoes at all times.
Location: this project will take place at Lawrence High School in Lawrence, MA. There is parking available onsite.
