Fenway Cares Food and PPE Distribution!

The health and safety of our volunteers, Volunteer Leaders, and the people we serve is our top priority. We are working with our Community Partners to ensure that state & city guidance is followed to slow the spread of COVID-19. Read about our Safety Requirements.

Fenway Cares is a group of Fenway non-profit organizations that joined together to help neighbors during the COVID epidemic. Its main focus is to provide food support and distribute free, fresh produce and staples at 2 locations every other week, as well as PPE when available. Tables are set up, the food is brought in by truck, and volunteers assist in organizing items to make pick-up easy, help people maintain social distancing, and help in breaking down boxes and tables, etc., at the conclusion of the distribution.

The location of this project is on Boylston Street.

To assist in the food distribution, it is helpful that a volunteer be able to lift flats, boxes and bags of food off the delivery truck, arrange the food bags for easy pick up by patrons, help in breaking down, stacking and loading items for removal from the site and local deliveries on foot. Nothing more than 40 lbs would be entailed and usually would be less, and all work is done while standing.

Volunteers will meet at the reception desk.

T accessibility & Parking: 55 bus to Jersey Street. Green Line (D Train)
