Connect with Elders in Your Community!

Cooperative Elder Services believes healthy aging is for everyone. Through our trusted delivery of services, we empower our community to age on their terms.

Volunteers will be supporting our Program Aides to provide engagement and support for our clients who are older adults with elevated care needs. Specifically, volunteers will provide companionship for clients and support our clients while engaging in activities and regular conversation as well as communicating with Program Aides when clients need additional support to use the bathroom, help with walking, etc.

Volunteers should be comfortable in connecting with folks living with memory loss and/or disabilities. Volunteer support will strengthen connections and relationships for our clients and serve to protect against elder loneliness and its various negative impacts on health!

There are two locations for this opportunity: CESI Arlington - 37 Broadway Arlington, MA 02474 & CESI Acton - 30 Sudbury Road, Suite 1 South Acton, MA 01720. After you express interest and are connected with the contact for this opportunity, you can decide which location you would like to volunteer at. 

MBTA Line Accessibility: CESI Arlington can be accessed by the 87 MBTA Bus at the Broadway & Sunyside Ave Stop in Arlington

Time committment: Volunteers are needed every Wednesday, on a weekly basis, for one month from 12 PM-3 PM. If you are interested at all, please express interest so that you can then talk about scheduling with the organization!

Please note: All volunteers will need to submit a CORI form and there is a brief orientation slide deck for training purposes.
