Academy of the Pacific Rim Charter Public School

MISSION To empower urban students of all racial and ethnic backgrounds to achieve their full intellectual and social potential by combining the best of the East; high standards, discipline, and character education, with the best of the West; a commitment to individualism, creativity, and diversity. DESCRIPTION Founded in 1997, the Academy is a charter school that combines best educational practices from the United States with those of the Pacific Rim. The Academy’s program spans the following domains: academic skills and knowledge, practical and work skills, health and fitness, culture and the arts, respect and order, character education, discipline, faculty and staff, and parental support. IMPACT The Academy supports 328 students annually. Academy of the Pacific Rim Charter School serves Boston (Hyde Park, Roxbury, Mattapan, Jamaica Plain, West Roxbury and Roslindale) and has partnered with Boston Cares since 1997.
