Berkshire Partners Blue Hill Club (BGCB)

MISSION The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston (BGCB) is to help boys and girls, generally from disadvantaged circumstances, develop the qualities needed to become responsible citizens and leaders. To achieve this, they offer a variety of program activities and support services designed to assist in the educational, emotional, physical and social development of 6-to-18 year olds, without regard to social, racial, ethnic, or religious background. DESCRIPTION The Blue Hill Boys & Girls Club is one of five clubhouses that make up the Boys & Girls Club of Boston. At each clubhouse young people are given the opportunity to participate in activities spanning a common set of six core program areas: education; the arts; life skills; leadership and character development; sports, fitness and recreation; and technology. IMPACT With the assistance of approximately 100 volunteers, Blue Hill Boys & Girls Club serves more than 300 young people annually. Blue Hill Boys & Girls Club serves Boston, Dorchester and Mattapan and has partnered with Boston Cares since 2001.
