Cambridge Community Center

Cambridge Community Center uses innovative and highly effective out-of-school time programming to serve as a bridge for learners moving from childhood to adulthood. The Cambridge Community Center offers after-school and out-of –school programming for children and young people. After-school programs run throughout the school year and offer children the opportunity to participate in activities that include basketball, arts and crafts, music lessons, educational workshops, field trips, science discovery, and computer classes. In addition, one-on-one tutoring is provided by MIT students to help build and improve the children’s literary skills. During the break, the Center offers the Cowemoki Summer Enrichment Program, a full time day program for children consisting of four, two week sessions from June to August. Cowemoki offers children the opportunity to play tennis, soccer, and basketball. They also participate in other athletic activities including roller blading, sailing and swimming.
