Musica Sacra

MISSION The mission of Musica Sacra is to perform for and edify audiences by providing authentic, high quality performances of a wide variety of choral music. Music Sacra is committed to and support both mainstream audiences and those without easy access. DESCRIPTION Since 1959, Musica Sacra has been performing choral music with the highest standards of musical excellence and a sound that has been called "breathtaking" and "uncommonly fresh and direct." Firmly committed to reaching under-served audiences, Musica Sacra performs for various charities and charitable events in the Boston area. The group's "Four-Part Harmony" is a fundraiser for the homeless. Other efforts include performances at the Massachusetts Mental Health Center, Youville Hospital and at the annual AIDS Walk in Boston. IMPACT The group's "Four-Part Harmony" fundraiser for the homeless has raised over 50 thousand dollars since 1998.
